Senior Policymakers from Europe and Central Asia graduate as HP-Cambridge EdTech Fellows

The Europe and Central Asia cohort of the HP Cambridge EdTech Fellowship celebrated their graduation this July. Twenty-one Fellows joined a growing alumni community of nearly 80 changemakers from circa 40 countries, each contributing to meaningful, tech-driven education reform.
|
By the close of 2025, as the Latin American cohort joins the alum community, this number will swell to nearly 100 changemakers from more than 50 countries. This marks a remarkable milestone for a program that was launched just two and half years ago and has already been recognized and awarded globally.

Developed with Cambridge Partnership for Education, the Fellowship reflects a shared commitment to shaping more equitable education systems, where purpose-driven technology meets top-tier academia.

HP has signed a global MoU with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) to deliver HP Gaming Garage courses among youth and women in underserved communities.

Signed in Geneva by Mihoko Kumamoto, Director, UNITAR, and Joe Lyons, Chief of Staff, SEMA, HP, the partnership aims to equip participants with industry-relevant digital, entrepreneurial, and AI-powered skills, supporting innovation, employability, and the future of work.

HP IDEA launches in Azerbaijan
|
HP has launched its signature upskilling program for teachers - the HP Innovation & Digital Education Academy (HP IDEA) - in Azerbaijan in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.
|
The year-long program supports educators in building skills across innovation, blended learning, and AI, by leveraging frameworks from Harvard University and University of Michigan. HP IDEA has also been recognized in the bestselling book A Better World Inc. and received a Certificate of Excellence at the SABRE 2023 awards.

This initiative aligns with Azerbaijan's growing digital landscape and economic advancement. By equipping teachers with modern pedagogy skills, the country is laying the foundation for a new generation of digitally adept citizens.

HP & EDI sign MOU to accelerate entrepreneurship and game development skills in Ethiopia
|
|
|
HP and the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) in Ethiopia have partnered to provide digital skills training for the country's youth and entrepreneurs. This collaboration, formalized in a new memorandum of understanding (MOU), will offer courses through two HP initiatives: HP GAMING GARAGE and HP LIFE.

The EDI, a federal institution operating under the Ministry of Labor and Skills, has a strong track record of promoting entrepreneurship and fostering an innovative ecosystem.
|
This partnership is particularly significant for Ethiopia, a country with the second-largest population in Africa, over 70% of which is under the age of 30. As a fast-growing economic powerhouse, Ethiopia is focused on a digital future, and this collaboration will directly support the country's 'Digital Ethiopia 2025' vision.
