Job Purpose
An intrapreneurial opportunity as P&L head for Mumbai region. The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with prospects to win new business for the company. The candidate will parent existing key client relationships in the region with the responsibility to ensure client delight and agency profitability thus leading to steady growth in relationship-value over time. As head of the region, the candidate will be responsible for general management of the regional offices in sync with the overall business goals and plans of the company.
Duties & Responsibilities
New business development-
- Directly lead new client acquisition function in the region
- Make agency introduction presentations to prospects and receive requirements briefing
- Prepare pitch proposals with support of vertical specialists and make presentations to the prospects in close coordination with the Managing Director
- Drive market enthusiasm and prospecting through business networking, social media, knowledge sharing, industry forums etc.
Account management & growth-
- Establish great rapport with all key clients in the region
- Ensure customer-delight by way of efficient and effective delivery of services
- Responsible for revenue generation and retainer contract renewals
- Establish periodic review and feedback mechanism with clients
- Formulate annual account growth plans for all clients in consultation with the management
- Directly responsible for achievement of the account growth targets
Industry and thought leadership
- Create client-work that wins recognition in terms of industry awards and felicitation
- Establish the agency as a thought-leader by way of participating in various industry forums and platforms

Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in business development and account management roles with creative, advertising, digital agencies.
- At least 5 years in middle-senior management roles
- Demonstrated experience of establishing and nurturing business relationships with top-level officials at client-side (CEO/MD/VP)
- Experience of working with global agency networks will be preferred
- Post-graduate degree in business administration and/or marketing
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Self-driven with the ability to think strategically and operationally- managing day-to-day business activities while defining and leading future direction for the region
Working Conditions
The role requires active commuting to meet business clients and prospects locally in Mumbai, and occasional out-of-station work trips. For this purpose, the ideal candidate should be open to and able to commute locally on his/her own.
